Richa Sharma

Dr. Sharma after receiving MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, completed her Internship and Residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York. She also completed a Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship at Weill-Cornell Medical Center in NY.

Originally from central India, Richa grew up in various parts of the country. Her personal interests include spending quality time at home or going out with friends and family, nurturing connections from the past, exploring nature, and being creative.

She is a strong advocate of doctors' wellbeing and safety, forming an advocacy group PIUWSH to raise collective voices for justice for Abhaya.

Professionally, Dr. Sharma is passionate about regional anesthesia, sustainability, cost-effective anesthesia, quality improvement, education, and expanding the presence of anesthesiology beyond operating rooms.
